Raisin-Nut Granola
Makes: 4 CupsIngredients
- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1/3 cup slivered almonds
- 1/3 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/4 cup raw sunflower seeds
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 2 tbsp raw sesame seeds
- 1/4 tsp fine salt
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 tbsp canola oil
- 1/2 cup raisins
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a silicone mat or spray with oil and line with parchment paper. Set aside.
Mix oats, almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, flaxseed, sesame seeds, and salt in a large bowl.
Combine honey an oil in a small microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir into the dry ingredients and mix until coated.
Spread mixture in an even layer on baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through to avoid burning, until deep golden brown.
Remove mixture from oven and sprinkle with raisins. Push mixture onto one half of the baking sheet and press into a flat brick. Allow to cool completely, then break into chunks and store in an air-tight container.
Notes
Other types of dried fruit, nuts, and seeds may be substituted so feel free to get inventive.
